Let me rekindle your memory to travel through the golden days of Doordarshan with their Ten Popular Doordarshan Television Series telecasted during 1980s and 1990s.

Doordarshan was started in 1959 in New Delhi and carry a long legacy. Today the state-run company runs 34 channels covering many regional languages.

Chanakya was also the royal advisor of King Chandragupta Maurya whose preachings are being considered as political advices that rulers should follow in order to offer peace and lead a rightful rule to the people of the kingdom. The series have won 5 Uptron Awards. It was hailed as one of the milestone of Indian Televison. The moral values and authentic story telling from this historical drama is still praised by Indian television audience.
